建校 1976 年
Unitec 理工学院（Unitec Institute of Technology，毛利语名 Te Whare Wānanga o Wairaka）位于新西兰最大城市奥克兰，是奥克兰地区规模最大的公立理工学院之一，以应用型、就业导向的学历教育为特色。学校 1976 年以 Carrington Technical Institute 之名在 Mt Albert 建校，1987 年更名 Carrington Polytechnic，1994 年定名 Unitec Institute of Technology，2006 年启用 Waitākere（Henderson）校区。
Unitec 现有两个校区：位于中区西部的 Mt Albert 校区（139 Carrington Road，占地约 55 公顷，是主校区）与西区的 Waitākere 校区（Ratanui Street, Henderson）。面向国际学生开放约 80 个课程，涵盖建筑与景观建筑、建造管理、工程、计算与网络安全、商科与会计、创意与表演艺术、动物与环境科学、护理、医学影像、社会工作与幼教等；教学强调工作室、实验室、工坊等实操环境，并与 IBM、新西兰警方等机构合作开发课程。学校持有 NZQA 一级（Category 1）办学评价。
运营状态方面，Unitec 自 2020 年 4 月 1 日起成为 Te Pūkenga（后更名为 New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology，NZIST）的一部分。按新西兰政府 2025 年 10 月通过的职业教育改革立法，Unitec 与 Manukau Institute of Technology（MIT）自 2026 年 1 月 1 日起合并为单一法人机构，是十所恢复独立运营的区域理工学院之一；两校保留各自独立的品牌、官网与校区，国际学生申请入口也各自独立。

入学要求
- 通用条件：开始学习时须年满 16 周岁；须满足 Unitec 针对申请人所在国家的学历入学要求（Country specific criteria），或完成相应的衔接课程（Bridgepoint / New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways）。
- 英语要求总原则：Unitec 按 NZQA 的《English Language Requirements》规则（Rule 2025）执行；如具体课程的英语门槛高于 NZQA 规则，以课程要求为准。所有英语成绩须在申请前两年内取得，且来自同一份成绩报告。
- 英语要求 — 大部分 Level 7 学士／研究生文凭课程：IELTS (Academic) 总分 6.0、各单项不低于 5.5；或 PTE Academic 50（单项不低于 50）。
- 英语要求 — Bachelor of Nursing（护理学士）：IELTS (Academic) 总分 6.5，听、说、读、写各单项均不低于 6.5；或完成 Unitec 的 New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) Level 5；或 NZQA 规则认可的同等成绩。

- 通过 Unitec 在线申请系统（Apply now）提交申请；也可通过 Unitec 授权的注册代理递交。
